I chose Williams based on their long-time reputation in Indianapolis, but my experience with a full heat pump/AC installation ($11,701 total cost after a $2,750 discount) was filled with amateur errors and poor planning. The issues started immediately after installation: Faulty Wiring: Minutes after the installers left, the system shut down because the wiring to the breakers was reversed. I called Williams and they immediately dispatched a tech. During the service call, the tech on site placed a call to a senior tech on speakerphone, and I overheard the senior tech using excessive profanity while venting that an unqualified, inexperienced employee had done the work. Very unprofessional. Incorrect Programming: The outdoor heat pump was improperly configured to shut off below 30 degrees, forcing the system onto auxiliary heat and spiking my electric bill by $200 in a single month. Smart Thermostat Failure: The thermostat failed to connect to my WiFi and required an additional service call to reset. Poor System Planning: The original filter access door was placed too close to a door frame, making it impossible to remove the filter without damaging it. The company’s fix was to seal it and cut a new access point in a different location, which forced me to downgrade from a highly efficient 4-inch filter to a less efficient 1-inch filter. This lack of foresight was never mentioned during the initial sales or installation process. An employee informed me that the company was sold to a national corporation a few years ago, and it has not been the same since. It appears this buyout led to a loss of experienced personnel, resulting in the series of fundamental installation mistakes I encountered. To their credit, Williams dispatched technicians quickly when I called, and the staff was friendly. They even gave me a box of filters for free. However, given the lack of quality control and the fact that none of these issues were caught during installation, I cannot recommend them for a major system replacement.

Tyler S. arrived early and was prompt and professional throughout the entire visit. He came to my home to complete some electrical work and did an excellent job. He was honest, transparent, and never tried to overcharge. Instead, he clearly explained my options and made recommendations that were relevant and fair based on what I needed. I really appreciate his craftsmanship, reliability, and commitment to fixing the issues at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

The technician came right on time, was very pleasant and not dirty. He put covers on his shoes when inside. He gave me a very thorough explanation of what he did and how I could handle future needs. Great appointment?

A technician from Williams Comfort Air came to my home today to finish wiring a whole home humidifier to my furnace. The humidifier was already fully mounted to the furnace, plumbing connected, and thermostat wire already run from the thermostat to both the furnace and the humidifier. The only remaining step was to connect the thermostat wire to the furnace and humidifier. Upon entering my home, the technician immediately stated he could not perform the work because the nearby outlet was being used to charge a vacuum battery, claiming it was, therefore not a designated outlet for the humidifier. I explained that I could simply unplug the charger, but he said he needed to call his boss to see if he was allowed to continue. After calling, he came back inside and told me the outlet needed to be a 220 V outlet and that I needed a separate disconnect switch installed. My whole home humidifier comes standard with a 110 V plug, which I clearly communicated. He still insisted it needed to be plugged into a 220 V outlet - advice that is not only incorrect but dangerous. I also explained that the humidifier already has a built-in disconnect switch on the front panel that shuts off the unit when opened, but that didn’t seem to matter. To make the situation even worse, he then told me that even if I had the 220 V outlet and disconnect he was claiming were required, it would still cost $1100 just to connect the thermostat wire because Williams Comfort Air did not install my furnace, and that was the only service option he could select on his iPad. After providing no service, giving me multiple conflicting excuses for why he couldn’t do the job, and offering unsafe electrical advice, he attempted to charge me a $98 trip fee. I am extremely displeased with this experience. Between the incorrect technical information, refusal to perform simple work, and an attempt to bill me for a visit that accomplished nothing, I will not be using Williams Comfort Air in the future.

Needed someone to come out to do some electrical work to install a sump pump and Williams Comfort Air not only had the best pricing, they were very timely with getting back to us and scheduling. Customer service was top notch. We got an alert of who our technician was prior to the appointment so we knew who to look out for. Brandon F. was great to work with and provided excellent customer service both during the assessment and the install. If we find ourselves in need of services in the future, will definitely be calling these guys. Highly recommend to anyone who may need electrical help to give these guys a call.
