I had Roto-Rooter perform water remediation services at my home in March 2025. While I appreciate that the company has agreed to cover the cost of the new flooring, vanity, and faucet, I’ve been left with unresolved damage to both of my closet organizers — damage that occurred during the service, not from the original water issue.
Despite sharing photos and explaining the concerns in detail, the proposed solution has been to paint over cosmetic damage and patch the units rather than replace or properly restore them. I’ve been cooperative throughout this process and just want a fair resolution that reflects the condition of the items before they were handled.
What’s especially frustrating is that this unresolved issue is now delaying progress with my insurance claim. I’ve tried to address this directly and professionally with their team, but so far, there’s been no acceptable path forward.
I’m still hoping Roto-Rooter will step up and make this right — and I’ll gladly update this review if the issue is resolved. Until then, I’m sharing my experience so others know to be cautious and thorough when reviewing post-service damage.

I had a big clogged in my son’s bedroom… 3 different plumbers came and couldn’t fix it… I almost gave up until I called Roto Rooter. I got their service with Daniel he was super nice and understanding! He got the problem right away and fixed it, he left everything clean behind him. He was very professional and did an amazing job!
We live in a very old house, the system is very old (from the 60s) so previous plumbers who tried to fix it, couldn’t deal with it.. but Daniel did!! He fixed it, And I am so happy I found a good service, so kind and hard worker… he didn’t give up until he was able to take out all the junk my kid put in the pipes over the years…(apparently a lot of wipes) he had to remove the toilet and put it back together, he did it in such a professional way, as the plumber who came a week before him told me he will have to break the toilet since there is no way to remove it as it’s super old and the screws were rusted… I am so glad I didn’t listen to him and tried Roto Rooter before I almost gave up and was ready to replace the whole thing, Daniel came and saved the vintage toilet that came with the original architect design;) thank you!

Our tech was Ricky from Muncie, Indiana. He came to the house very quickly after the service call. The price quoted for the work needed was more than we had. We tried to up our credit with the bank that we had with roto rooter already and we got denied. My husband said all we could afford was the amount that we had available on the existing card. Ricky made a call and came back with, the amount that you have on the card will do. We can do the job for that amount. After the week we had with a lot of financial, water damage, and work stress, we needed a break somewhere. We are extremely grateful for the patience, understanding and humility that Ricky gave in a time of extreme stress. We now have his tech number and will be asking for him all the time. Hoping that we don't have to need him in the near future. Lots of love and prayers are going out to all that work in this line of work. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕👩🦳👍🤟🫵❤️🤍💙🇺🇲

We called Roto Rooter late in the day and they got a plumber out the same day. He was professional and courteous and cleared the line quickly. We were very pleased with the service overall.

I had a drain issue where both my toilet and shower had murky water rising around 7:00pm. I called to see if they could come in and fix it (since they have 24/7 services), and they swiftly arrived! It was a 20 degree snowy night, so I applaud the two gentlemen that came over and solved the issue. Daniel O. and his partner were amazing!!
