Here’s some more praise of Peterman. Robert came out for warranty repair and was efficient as he was professional. Clearly knowledgeable ahead of the job, he quickly assessed a simple assembly mistake on my furnace. He has plenty of experience and it showed. He was helpful, friendly, and thorough. Thank you, Mr. Mullis! And an obvious thank you to Stevens, Mark, David, Brett, and certainly to Scott Sanborn for the work you did on the furnace and A/C install. You were ALL helpful, communicative, respectful, and hard workers. Much appreciated all around.

I used Peterman for a few years for our service. I even had them install a new sump pump for us and they did a great job. I always loved their technicians so when it came time for a new water heater and water softener we chose them again over 2 other quotes. We had installation issues leaving us with no hot water for almost 24hrs and the incorrect water softener installed. When I called to get after hours help I was met with rudeness and lack of empathy. The issue was fixed the next morning which the tech advised could have been handled just over the phone the night before had the proper channels been followed to provide support. I have been so unsatisfied with this experience I have canceled my maintenance and did not move forward with installing the water softener. I'll continue to stand behind their technicians but the managers and phone support folks that I encountered are undertrained and the opposite of what I would consider to be an acceptable level of customer support. This includes two different managers/supervisors while I was attempting to escalate my issue. Update 60 days later- the water heater installed is now leaking and our humidifier on our furnace does not have the proper water supply going to it so it will not run. Again, I continue to be very frustrated over spending $3500 on a new water heater and am in worse condition than I was with the old unit which was working properly despite being 10 years old.
Another update- Customer experience team/management follow through is non existent. I can't respond to the comment below but I did email the service group as requested and did not hear back. It's very surprising anyone would not be able to locate my account considering the same day that the response was placed here their tech was onsite and I received a work summary to the same email address I use on this account.

Always had pleasant interactions with the scheduling staff and the technicians, but the pricing and scheduling leave a lot to be desired.
I have been quoted 1.5 to 2.5 times the price from this company to do work than I have from other businesses. I can understand a markup if the services are that much higher quality, but in my experience, they aren't.
Additionally, the scheduling seems flexible, but that's because in reality you have no clue what time they might be able to stop by that day. Recently, I was scheduled for an HVAC inspection, and heard nothing from any technician until about 4:44 PM! I understand that's how their schedule works, but it's extremely inconvenient for the customer to have no clue when someone might show up. If you have to reschedule, be prepared to wait.
Lastly, while the work they've performed at my house has been generally good, they aren't the best about cleaning up after themselves. I recently had some pipes replaced and they had to cut into the drywall. After which they made zero attempt at sweeping or cleaning up the debris from the drywall (not even an old dead bird that was in the wall they cut into). They didn't repair the drywall, which I understand is not something they do so that was okay.
I would certainly recommend getting a second quote if getting any quote from this business.

All the service guys did a great job. As did the rest of the service and sales team. Only problem was with the quality of the original circuit board. No heat overnight while this issue was being resolved. Issue was resolved to our satisfaction as well as being timely. . As I write this temperature is correct and comfortable
Add mentions $500 credit if not installed in a certain time frame. Since we didn’t have heat overnight. Question is if that credit is going to be honored

Over the years I have noticed more that Peterman is all about installing new equipment instead of trying to fix any problem you have. They are quick to say let me get you a quote for new one and true to push getting it financed. I have had times where someone would come and say something was with my plumbing under the sink, then 3 months later someone different comes and checks and does not find anything wrong. I have done my research on items that they installed only to that the price they gave me was 3 times the price of the equipment. I have been a customer for more 6 years now, but it is now time for me to move on from them and find a place that actually knows how to do repairs instead going to straight to trying to sell me a new product. I have attached an estimate given to me and also attached the actually price of the water heater. When I told the tech that I could buy one for 600 he told me he could install it for 1600 dollars. The cost to install was almost 3 times what the heater would cost. I found someone to install it for 200 dollars. Before paying them do your research because lowes does installation and sells HVAC and water heaters because the attached document is the cheapest they could do. It goes up from there.
Update: I have now replaced my water heater. During the process I noticed a trash nag tucked in the corner. I recently had a new sump pump put in by Peterman. So I paid them to do they job and the replaced my old one with a new one and left the old one. I called Petermann to tell them about it and all I got was I don't know. They supposed to take it with them. Not even and offer to come and complete the job I already paid for. The customer service has become very terrible now. Changing my rating to a 1 star.
