If I could leave negative stars I would. When I first started going here I thought it was great, but that changed rapidly. I needed a deep cleaning, which I had done and I continued on a plan for regular cleanings. I was told my insurance would pay for 3 per year, so I agreed and had a 3rd cleaning done. To then get a bill telling me they did not cover the expense. I followed up with the billing team who told me they would waive this due to an error on their side. That still has not been waived and they are telling me it is my fault for not knowing it was not covered. At the same time I learned they have been coding my regular routine cleanings as a deep clean, therefore my insurance is only covering 40% of the cost and I have had to pay additional out of pocket at every visit, but I am only getting regular cleanings! When I learned of this and asked why they were doing this, they told me it was because I had one deep cleaning and now they code it that way going forward. But I am supposed to get 2 free routine cleanings a year with insurance and have since had to switch dentists because they will not bill it correctly!! I left the last apt. before she could clean my teeth due to this information, the attitude I was treated with, and the girl at the front desk was so nasty to me. I immediately reported this behavior to my insurance!!

Gave 2 stars because the dentist is nice but communication in the small office is horrible and her dental assistant acted like she did not know what she was doing. I will be having another dentist fix my teeth. Maybe they will actually call in my antibiotic and do proper testing.

The Doctor and staff are the best team In the dental field. I've been a patient for at least 12 years. I don't know what I would do if they decide to close. I trust and respect their opinions. I wish great success to them.

Everybody was very nice and welcoming. Even though I got some god-awful news.
Obviously wasn’t their fault. But they talked me through it. Definitely would recommend them

Visited for a broken spacer on my wisdom. My wisdom did have some decay, so I was exploring options. Dentist sent me to an oral surgeon for a 3D ultrasound to ensure it wasn’t near my pulp. Went to the referred doctor and he didn’t use the 3D ultrasound, he stated he wasn’t concerned from viewing the regular ultrasound photo, his DA took. (Wasted dental allowance) I went back Dr. Murdock, for an extraction.
After the extraction I was told to take 4 ibuprofen and two extra Tylenol every 6 hours. I did so. The next day (Friday), I called the office (at 3:30pm) as the pain wasn’t like anything I’ve ever experienced. I didn’t receive a response, so I called again on Monday. They had me come in, I explained the pain I’d been on over the weekend and how I was feeling sick from all of the pills yet they weren’t relieving the pain. I expressed that I had taken a Vicodin from my sister and I was able to sleep Sunday night.
I was informed informed that I had a dry socket. Office staff agreed that pill regime I was on wouldn’t help with the pain of a dry socket. Instead of prescribing me a medication to help pain control, Dr. Murdock advised this regime has been her practice for five years and I could see another dentist who may prescribe me something to treat the pain. She also wrote me an additional prescriptions, so now I’m taking 27 pills a day.
I expressed that prescribers not taking heed to the pain level of patients and ignoring their cry for help is how individuals revert to finding help in the streets. This of lack of concern for patient care is what leads to unnecessary overdoses and is unfortunate for people like myself who are genuinely seeking help. While in severe pain, they began working on my tooth, I needed a min - as I was crying tears of pain. In a very hostile manner Dr. Murdock asked me “if I wanted to have this done (packing the socket) or not”. She was very cold and lacked compassion for what I was enduring.
Needless to say, I sought treatment elsewhere - as she had recommended. The suggested amount of pills were making my body feel awful while not relieving the pain of the dry socket. I found a great dentist who was able to get me in on Wednesday. This density agreed that was too many pills for too long of a time. She did however say, has my healing gone as expected, that regime would have been ok. She sent me a prescription in for the pain and had me come back the next two days to repack the dry socket. I am feeling much better and only had to take 2 days worth of the stronger medication as the packing and pill combination was successful.
I am very disappointed with the level of care I received at Geist Dental Care and I would never recommend them to anyone. What’s closest to your home is not always best. Lesson learned and annual dental allowance wasted.
