We had the best experience with Dr. J and his office. From the first appt clear through a small hiccup in insurance, their office was clear with communication, made our son feel very at easy, ensured recovery, did a thorough follow-up, and were very kind and reassuring throughout the entire process! I would definitely recommend for any dental work that requires anesthesiology! Thank you for making this process a blessing!

REFUSED TO PROCESS WARRANTED REFUND FROM UNCOVERED DENTAL EXPENSES: The doctor (Dr. J) was very friendly overall and the work he completed was great--no problem there. The warning is to others regarding their financial practices, which are not as ethical. My son went to this office for a procedure on 03/24/2025 and it only took 20 minutes--which was surprisingly efficient. The doctor himself communicated to me that the procedure did not take the 40 minutes calculated and the office staff confirmed that I would expect a refund (i.e. Lexie) for the time needed for anesthesia. Weeks passed and I did not get a refund, so I proactively reached to the dental office to understand the purpose of the delay. I was then told that the anesthesiologist (Dr. Fugate), misreported and conflated the time that was needed to complete the procedure and that I would now not receive the anticipated partial refund of the $940 that I paid out of pocket. I am owed $470. I have attached the email communication of the staff stating that they are charging me the full amount, because they counted the time after the actual time needed for the anesthesia/medicine actually provided to my son (i.e. my son waking up after the doctor completed the dental services). The doctor himself (Dr. J) stated that it only took him 20 minutes and said that the procedure was quick-all 40 minutes for the anticipated anesthesia was NOT used. The procedure was so quick that they gave my son more anesthesia/medicine than needed in the allotted time. It is sad that there is a clear discrepancy between what happened in the procedure and the records and that patients are not provided their rightful refunds. This is important to note in reviews, so other patients are aware that this could happen to them too. The time for anesthesia should not include waiting for the child to wake up. The cost of anesthesia/medicine used is the time needed in the dental procedure to do the ACTUAL work---what is happening is unethical. BEWARE!

Came to this dentist with 4 kids at once and the staff here worked so hard to make each child feel comfortable and safe. It was such a pleasant experience that they said they can't wait to go back and seem more encouraged to take better care of their teeth. The dentist explained everything that she was doing and seeing then provided lots of good advice. Definitely will be going back to this dental office and recommending them!

I need to take a moment to recognize the excellent care my 9 year old received at Dr. J's Pediatric Dentistry Fishers office yesterday. She was greeted and taken back by Brianna. This young woman was so very compassionate and kind to my daughter. Bri was extremely knowledgeable and professional, while exhibiting patience and care listening to my daughter express her concerns and questions. As a parent, I had questions and concerns of my own. The dentist we were assigned was kind to my daughter, yet wanted to dismiss my concerns and overpower my voice as she insisted that her credentials made her the expert- a point I never contested. I do not care how I was treated, as my daughter made it through the procedure. However, I do feel it is worth mentioning, as in today's world, too many "experts" want to silence parents.
