We wanted to try a new restaurant and were pleasantly surprised to find one only 15 minutes from home. Our server, Kelsey, took great care of us and made an excellent recommendation for my wife. I ordered the 16 oz. Prime Rib, cooked medium with fries and a baked potato. Aspen hand cuts their steak every day. The quality and flavor of the steak proves this! I am a steak connoisseur and in my opinion, this is the best tasting steak to be had on the south side! My wife, upon Kelsey’s recommendation, ordered the shrimp and grits. The serving size was huge! Made fresh, this dish had my wife doing her “Oh my gosh this is so good!” tap dance as she was eating. Both meals and one glass of wine plus the tip was $71 and some change. It almost felt like we were underpaying because of how great it was! We both highly recommend this restaurant and we will certainly be back!

Aspen is new to the Greenwood area and we've eaten here 5 times already. My husband loves the steak and says the Ribs are the best around. I love the Mile high meatloaf and off the cob elote. Pow Wow shrimp is very good also. They have great drinks and staff is amazing!
We always sit at the bar but if your looking for a table I recommend joining the wait list.

We happened to choose this restaurant on Father’s Day after trying to go to another establishment that was only seating guests with advance reservations. This place was packed! We had a short wait though because I used their call-ahead waitlist. They had plenty of wait staff around who helped each other out making sure guests got their food brought to the table as soon as it was ready. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive as well. The food came out surprisingly fast with how busy they were today. We had the pork tenderloin and salmon with honey lime sauce. The tenderloin was a B- (this is Indiana after all, where we’ve had some pretty fantastic pork tenderloins, so our bar is high). The fries were deliciously crispy on the outside. The salmon was very good with the tasty sauce that didn’t overwhelm it with either the honey or the lime. The green beans were seasoned with nice pieces of bacon. The atmosphere was what you’d expect from a grill with a bar in the middle and some TV’s up high near the bar. We had a cozy booth for 2. While it was full to capacity and bustling with our table near the kitchen entrance, we had no trouble having a conversation. We look forward to returning to try more items off the menu.

I tried the potato skins. They were delicious, and they actually still had some potato on them. (more than. you get.most places where those seem literally like just skins). I also had the fish and chips. This is not something I gravitate towards often, but that fish was so meaty and delicious! I upgraded my fries to "truffle". I don't think I've had truffles before. I would stick to the regular fries in the future. I didn't dislike them, but I didn't think they were anything special. I also tried the green chili cheese grits. They were good, lighter, and fluffier than I've ever had. My friend had their fried mushrooms -Delicious! She also had their Cajun pasta. I didn't try it, but she said it was great.
I tried a margarita, and she had their punch. Both drinks were delicious as well. We live 2 hours away, but we would definitely eat here again. We wished there was one closer to us! The restaurant was clean and busier than we expected for 1:30. We didn't have a wait, but it wasn't dead. Our waitress was kind and gave us just the right amount of attention.
