If you’re looking for authentic, made-from-scratch comfort food, Ruby's Cafeteria is the place to be. You can really taste the quality in every bite! The chicken salad is delicious and fresh, and the ham sliders are a must-try. However, the absolute star of the show is the carrot cake—it is hands down the best we have ever had. On top of the incredible food, the service is great and incredibly fast. It’s the perfect spot for a high-quality meal without the long wait. Highly recommend!

To begin with I can only discuss the bakery since my experience was 2 cakes and cookies for an office event. The PRO’s: The owner was very accommodating and met me prior to the restaurant opening so I was able to pick up my order. We had a last minute issue with a staff member that was going to pick up our cakes and cookies making it impossible to get our order it seemed. She met me at a time I needed so I could still make it to work for patients before 8:00 am. Huge customer service points!!! I am not from Anderson so I had never been to Ruby’s or even heard of it until I started my cake bakery search. The photos on reviews were what appealed to me. The atmosphere lived up to the photos when I peaked into the dining area while waiting on my order. It is a lovely “girls day out” venue. A great place to go and put on your hat and gloves to feel special. The CONS: To start off with the baker had forgotten to write on the cakes. When it is for a special event it seems important the cake represents the person or occasion as common sense? Am I wrong in thinking the baker would have enquired? We were celebrating a goodbye for a doctor leaving to move out of state plus birthdays for a doctor and manager. When the forgotten writing was noticed I know the owner felt bad and was apologetic. However, for almost $200. I would have appreciated an offer of a slight refund or a gift card for a lunch on us. It would have been a great gesture for future business and referrals. That was honestly just the minor of the cons. The real issue was every single employee commented on the cookies. It started with one person saying they were quite unique. Later, it bacame obvious they were not unique in a good way. One of the doctors daid they were terrible in his exact words. They were decorated as requested with Palm Trees for the move to FL, and balloons for the birthday. However, usually birthday balloons are primary colors and these were pastel pink and green which was not very “festive”. The cakes were a dense cake. I only had a piece of the chocolate and it was fine with a dense texture, but not overly chocolaty flavored which was okay. The white was supposedly a little “crumbly” from comments made. I wanted to support a local business, and for $60.00 a cake, plus I believe $3.?? a cookie I did. I did appreciate the customer service you can only get with an independent business of an owner meeting me early prior to opening. I loved the look of the beautiful setting of the restored building and effort into creating an experience. I am not writing this review to destroy the business but hopefully to encourage some positive changes and continued growth. The group of 16 I work with will all tell their friends of their experience and thoughts with the products I supplied with the tag of Ruby’s which may not help the business. Hopefully, the owner can work with the baker and make some steps towards improving taste and presentation. I might still be willing to try a luncheon in the restaurant to experience the chicken velvet soup and the lovely girly decor. I hope this restaurant flourishes. Anderson needs a beautiful restaurant and good independent food!

Ruby’s Cafe in Anderson is truly one of those local places that just makes you feel welcome the second you walk in. The food is always delicious, the atmosphere is cozy, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in what they do. I love having lunch meetings there because it’s the perfect place to sit, talk, network, and actually enjoy the experience. I’ve shared a lot of great conversations there, and it always feels comfortable and welcoming. It’s refreshing to have a local place that consistently has good food, good people, and a great atmosphere. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Anderson and worth supporting.

PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT! We hosted a retirement party at Ruby’s and the venue, food, service, and planning was incredible. Pam and her staff went above and beyond. It’s a week out from the party and people are still messaging us about how good the food and cakes were! We absolutely love Ruby’s and will continue to come back for food, dessert, and good vibes.

I'm from Japan🇯🇵. There are 40 high school girls👧, and they took care of me in a group. Not only the meals, but also a lot of miscellaneous goods, it was wonderful❤️!
