I'm very upset that I had to check a star! The rating should be minus 1star this is what this facility is deserving of. If you will like to feel like a human and not a dollar sign please don't make an appointment with this place. I never had experience like this one! Please don't waste your time.

I recently relocated from out of state and needed some dental work done, specifically the removal of my upper and lower wisdom teeth. The upper wisdom teeth were causing me to bite down on the back of my cheeks, while the lower ones were still usable but causing me pain due to the top ones biting down on them. A friend recommended Advanced Dental Care of Anderson, so I eagerly scheduled an appointment 2 weeks ago to have my wisdom teeth removed. When I arrived, the front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the dentist was unable to successfully remove all of my wisdom teeth. He was able to extract the right upper wisdom tooth, but had difficulty removing the left upper tooth and ended up breaking it in half. The dentist then informed me that the remaining broken tooth would need to be extracted by an oral surgeon, who had a long waiting list. I was sent home with only some basic gauze and aftercare instructions, with no guidance on how to manage the broken tooth. The pain in the back of my mouth has been excruciating, and I've been limited to a soft food diet. The extracted right wisdom tooth is not causing any issues, but the broken left tooth is causing me significant discomfort with no immediate resolution in sight. I wish I had never allowed this dentist to attempt the procedure, as the outcome has been far from ideal. I am in way more pain now, than I was before. 😔 Never coming here again.

If you miss one appointment they try to take you off of their patient list. And they aren't willing to work with you, only because of a missed appointment. I have 5 kids, sorry i cant make every single appointment. Very rude, won't go back

The facility and equipment are modern and updated. The dental tech and hygienist I had are very friendly and are very good at what they do. Dr. Summerlin is professional and I felt confident with his expertise in placing my dental implants.

Started going here and none of my visits were ideal. I continued going, despite the rude hygienist I had my (I think) 2nd visit. I was already a patient and just decided to stick it out. Was told I had gingivitis and then said I had periodontal disease and it won’t go away, and needed to pay $800 for a deep cleaning since my insurance didn’t cover it. Went and had it done at Ivy Tech (for free) and came back. They stated I didn’t have the deep cleaning done and they can’t clean my teeth until I do the $800 cleaning lol. Who the hell does that, really? Lol. They insisted I was wrong and don’t get me started on the rude hygienist I had again. I didn’t go back until I had tooth pain, which was my last visit a few months ago. The dentist looked at my teeth, did not do any testing, and said based on my symptoms, I could either do a root canal or pull the tooth - which my insurance did not cover and it’s $2500. That was it lol. I went to another dentist office for a second opinion and this dentist was AMAZING. He completed all sorts of testing and said he would not recommend either of those things because he cannot pinpoint the exact tooth - the BEST part? They said there’s no way I have periodontal disease and no gingivitis! But needed to do the exam next visit to be sure. He gave me antibiotics to help the pain for now and see if it comes back. It has not come back at all! If it does, they’re hoping to pinpoint the exact tooth with further tests so we can get proper treatment. My exam also came back that I do NOT have gingivitis and certainly not periodontal disease. You’ll have a much better experience elsewhere, I promise lol. It’s INSANE that they were more worried about getting payment than giving me a correct treatment plan or diagnosis.
