I went to this dentist for the first time to get my teeth cleaned. The dentist told me I needed 6 crowns. I told him I was retired living on social security and if my insurance won't cover the cost I would not be able to have anything done. I told him this several time at this appointment. One of my teeth that needed a crown was cracked, I told him again if my insurance doesn't cover it I could not have it done. He submitted the paper work to medicare. It was denied. The dentist said he would resubmit the paperwork, he had been doing this for 20+ years and knew how to get it approved. Several weeks later the lady at the front desk called me and said that medicare approved the crown. I made an appointment for the crown, had the crown put on my tooth. Several weeks later I get a bill in the mail for $1,300.00 I call the office they said medicare made a mistake and gave them the wrong code and the claim was denied! I just about fainted. I would have never had the crown work done if the claim was denied. I went into the office to talk with the doctor and he was too busy to talk with me so I asked the lady at the front desk what happen, how could my claim be approved and then when you sent medicare the bill they denied. She said, "I am so sorry that was my fault, medicare gave me the code over the phone and I wrote down the wrong code. I said to her didn't they send you an email to back the approval or letter? She said no. So now this dentist wants me to pay for his offices error. He has turned me into collections. I am 69 with some health issues, retired with just my social security income, no children or husband to help me with anything. It takes everything I have to get through the month.This $1,300 dollars might as well be a million dollars, I cannot pay it. I am writing this review to warn you to BE CAREFUL if you go to this dentist. If they tell you on the phone insurance approved your claim, GET IT IN WRITING. I am devastated that this has went this far when it was his office that made the mistake. On my first appointment I told him over and over that if medicare didn't approve the request I could NOT pay for any service out of my pocket. If this dentist had a heart he would have done the right thing and admitted it was his offices fault and have forgiven the bill. All I can do is put this in God's hands to resolve.

This is the first Dental practice that I always look forward to going to! From the beginning everyone has been amazing! Dr. Emily is always making you feel comfortable and letting you know what she's doing before she does it. Everyone is always smiling and they make sure that you feel like your the only patient of the day! I can't say enough. If you are always dreading the dentist, go to Advanced Dental. I promise you will know you made the right choice when you leave.

I have been to plenty of dentists over the years. However, I have never felt comfortable enough to stay to get any work done besides one place to get my wisdom teeth removed in Georgia.
Immediately the first time I walked into Advanced Dental Care, I felt extremely welcomed and comfortable. Every single person I have interacted with has been nothing less than fabulous! The entire staff deserves (100000/10) stars.
They really work with you on payment plans. They are extremely patient. They break things down for you (whether it's a payment plan or a discovery they have made for your dental care and health)! I get reminders about my appointment which are really helpful. I even got a letter for my birthday which was extremely heartwarming! I have never been so excited to go to the dentist, let alone talk about my experience at the dentist.
I highly recommend this place to any and everyone! Even if you don't have insurance, again they work with you and provide payment plans.
I am not great at remembering names, but I want to specifically hightlight the lady that did my cleanings! She really talks and engages with you as she does work. She makes me feel relaxed and asks if I'm okay or need a little break. She is really thorough with her cleanings and the amount of encouragement she gives while cleaning my teeth has really made me feel motivated to take much better care of my teeth. I want to take good care not only for myself, but also to make her proud when I come back for visits.
I love this place and staff to pieces ! I wish all dentistry and professionals would exhibit this kind of behavior and care!! Advanced Dental deserves more stars! Thank you so much for the amazing experience!

I had a great experience at Advanced Dental Care in Fortville! I saw Dr. Emily Summerlin for a cavity filling last week. It was quick and painless! She was very gentle, which is something I can't say about my previous dentist. The staff was great too! Everyone was personable and took great care of me.
The office was very clean as well! I was the only patient being worked on, so I felt super safe and comfortable! It was also a major plus that I was in and out in less than an hour!
I will definitely be back! Highly recommend this dental office for anyone looking in the area.
