Have used Benjamin Franklin Plumbing a couple times over the years. Have always been prompt and the techs are very friendly. My issue is/has become what I feel are outrageous and over inflated pricing, and this last trip was over the top.
I called because I had two toilets start leaking within 24 hours of each other. My initial thought was a bad wax ring but when the second started I worried about a potential sewer back up developing.
Toby arrived on time, very friendly and patient as I tried to explain my concerns. He went to look at both toilets, just looked at them with flashlights, tried to wiggled them and after 5/10mins. Said it was a bad wax ring.
Pulled up an estimate and said $540. I asked, that’s for both and the response was no. That was just for ONE!! So over $1100 to do wax rings on 2 toilets. Option 2 was to decline and pay the $89 trip fee and shop around or could try and do it myself.
Unfortunately since I was still left with leaking toilets, still not convinced it was just wax rings issues and was my only day off this week, I felt I was stuck and chose to have at least one done as if there was incoming issues, it would be found as all that had been done was a cursory visual inspection out outside the toilets and pools of stank water.
Paid the $540 and after maybe 30 mins of work, done and was just a wax ring.
I fully expect to pay more for a trained Plummer, expertise and of course there is overhead. But $540 is asinine. $20 for the part and $520 in labor for a 30 min repair?! You can say overhead and what not but I have begun shopping around and talked to two other Indy certified plumbing companies and being quoted $300 and $375.
The two stars does not reflect against Toby. He was great and just doing his job but I will never use Benjamin again and unfortunately will warn others of their pricing.

Great company. Very professional and great at what they do. Had a technician at my home within 2hrs of calling them. The technician was great and very nice and efficient. Had our new sump pump installed and finished within 30min. We will definitely use these guys for any future plumbing needs.

Juan and Billy are SUCH PROFESSIONAL men! I cannot say enough about their characters!! ---- MY FAULT I did not cancel in a timely manner and they came anyway.
They were extremely professional and understanding about the fact that I had to cancel ----I'm trying to gift card them for their time and effort! I really appreciate them being so kind. Not many people like that around anymore! I just wanted you to know how much I truly appreciate you guys!!!!! Thank you, really.... -Dawn.

The first tech came out and was great. He quickly assessed the situation and had a second tech lined up to come out same day and got the new water heater installed promptly. Both were courteous and friendly and could not have been happier with them.
The problem I have is not with the service or the quality, it was the pricing. Per job labor cost made it so my in-warranty (parts only) replacement was $1100 for less than 2 hours of labor. If I need this done again I will be finding someone else to do the work despite how great the techs were who performed the work.

I started off with five stars because the original technician that came out came very quickly to assess the issue. He was polite and timely. However, it is four days later, and the repair still has not been completed. I’ve taken multiple days off work, and still have no water. When calling to ask dispatch where my technician was, the gentleman I spoke with was incredibly short and rude. You pay a premium with this company because they are 24 hour, I expect a lot more for my money.
